Perry was appointed by the Maori Land Court as an Advisory Trustee on the 23 April 2021.

Trustee and descendent to descendent to Herewini Te Keha o Ngāmotu, a renowned and respected chief to the Ngamotu area. Perry is a Contract Supervisor working locally in the Taranki region, working with associated Committed Communities, Local business, OMV, Todd, NPDC.

Perry has a strong background in Building and Construction, serving time with Hawkins Construction and further with Whitaker Civil Engineering. Expanding his tenure for Drainage and Roading Construction. Further attributes continued from 2012 to 2016 assisting Boon for Our Marae design for construction to fulfil the vision and needs with and for the Hāpu.

Perry has held various positions for HSE and audits, Supervisor, leadership and Policies, and line Management, and assigned to work through Strategic Governance, Property and Land. Perry has whakapapa connections to Te Atiawa and Ngapuhi.
