Tena Koutou Katoa,

Having lived locally in Waitara for most of my life, I have also travelled and lived in Australia playing semi-professional softball in my late twenties. Once retiring from softball, I moved home to settle with my wife and daughter in Waitara. This led me to pursue another passion and skill of mine which is music. I have had various roles in the music industry, from teaching saxophone to high school students, to management roles, to playing live on many local and national stages. I have lived locally now for the last 14 years and love being home.

I am currently employed by Ministry of Social Development.  My current role, working within the work focus area, involves assisting people into work. An enjoyable role where I can help people to grow & learn.

I have a strong background in event management, where I have prepared and adhered to budgets, sourced and collaborated with contractors and companies to ensure all aspects of their events run smoothly. Solid communication and networking skills are the basis of my strong skillset, alongside being enthusiastic with fresh ideas and organisational skills that I love to share where possible.

My goal is to ensure strong policies & procedures are set up and utilised for Ngati Te Whiti Whenua Toopu Trust and to contribute to a strong team of elected board members focused on completing our collective Marae vision.
